Rasdhoo New Year Trip

This was the second trip to AA.Rasdhoo. I have made my booking at Rasdhoo Inn Guest house. On 31st evening at 16:00 departed from Male to Rasdhoo. 

The weather wasn't that bad so hopefully reached within 1hr and 30mins. As I reached around 5:30PM, it was already too late to explore the island more. So just went directly to the room and rested for few hours before the dinner which was arranged by the guest house. Around 8PM I went to their beach front and that place was amazing. The dinner buffet with music and all the arrangements was done for the new year count down show. 

The event started at 9PM, and followed with small games and songs from different nations. Boduberu started at 11PM by their own local boduberu group named Aaras boduberu group. After few Maldivian Music, the new year count down started. The "GOODBYE2017" was burnt and "WELCOME2018" was lit up followed with lighting up of sky lanterns. Lots of guests including me, enjoyed the event.

Next day i went to the sandbank next to the Rasdhoo, named as Madivaru finolhu. This is the best place where you can enjoy, sun, sea & sand. Here are few shots from the island and the sandbank.
